Changes in Property Managers

Thursday, March 8, 2018

Good afternoon,

I hope the New Year has started off well for everyone. Keeping warm in this extra cold winter has certainly been a priority, even here in Birmingham.
I wanted to provide a brief update on some changes with personnel at VZTop.

Michael McRae has been offered a raise and promotion to return to his previous job. We really hate to see him go, but know that this is best for he and his family.

Jay Stewart had been hired as a part time assistant to Michael before his resignation. Jay's background is retired military with expertise in the area's we need to manage the property at VZ. He is very personable and is getting things done..must be his DI background. :-) He is also computer literate, which is a must with Building Engines, emails, etc. Jay will be taking on the position of Property Manager. He will routinely be on the mountain Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He will also be there, on an as needed basis, the other days.

In addition to Jay, the Board has hired Gonzalo Magana on a full time basis. Gonzalo came with several positive recommendations as a hard worker and extremely dependable. His background is as a carpenter, grounds keeper and overall maintenance person. His is skilled at both spoken and written communication in English. As well as working week days, he will also come up to VZ Top on the weekends to remove trash and check on the property.

Their contact information is:
Maintenance@vztop.com:
This will send and email to both Jay and Gonzalo. If you are not using Building Engines to communicate items for their review, please use this email address.

Jay and Gonzalo are both excellent additions to our community. Please welcome them with open minds and hearts.

Lastly, due to a health issue, starting January 8th, I will be out of communication for 2 to 3 weeks. Carole Levey has graciously agreed to fill in for me during that time. Please provide her with the same special consideration and courtesy you all have allowed me.

See you on the Mountain,
Janice
